This course takes your English language skills to the next level, helping you become more confident and proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for everyday and academic purposes.
You’ll learn to:
- Deliver short presentations in class to practice your speaking skills and build confidence
- Read and analyze a variety of texts, including adapted and original materials, to improve your reading comprehension and vocabulary
- Write effective essays, reports, and other texts using different styles and formats
- Develop strategies to improve your study skills and academic performance
- Understand and discuss current issues and topics in Canada, such as politics, culture, and society
- Explore your rights and responsibilities as a Canadian citizen
Prerequisite: Level 3 English as a Second Language (Open)
