Alexandra Ramos: Head of Academic Partnerships & Student Success

Alexandra Ramos is a strategist and student success leader with nearly a decade of experience guiding learners through the critical transition from secondary to post-secondary education, including the exploration of both educational and career pathways. As Head of Academic Partnerships & Student Success at Sunray Academy of Canada, Alexandra leads the development of global institutional partnerships and student pathway strategies designed to illuminate opportunity and strengthen long-term academic outcomes.

Born in Colombia and now residing in Canada, Alexandra brings a global perspective to her work. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Business Management from Colombia’s Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Centennial College in Toronto. Her interdisciplinary academic background and ability to collaborate with schools, educators, university representatives, and students and their families, allows her to approach student success holistically—integrating academic planning, emotional development, and career strategy. With her support, our learners begin their Ontario Secondary School Diploma program as young adults with goals for their future, and develop into ownership-oriented and future-focused leaders who achieve those goals.

Alexandra’s professional experience spans private education, municipal and provincial government initiatives, and international university partnerships. As a Project Manager for education programs in Valle del Cauca and Cali, Colombia, she collaborated with more than 40 public and private institutions to assess post-graduation readiness, identify systemic gaps, and design tailored advising frameworks that strengthened secondary-to-postsecondary alignment. Earlier in her career, she served as a Student Advisor in a leading Colombian private school, establishing global university alliances, organizing college fairs, and guiding students through competitive international admissions processes.

At Sunray Academy of Canada, Alexandra focuses on building strategic LATAM–North America partnerships and designing individualized student pathways that are structured, aspirational, and achievable. She believes education must be intentional, collaborative, and future-oriented—ensuring students are prepared for university admission and equipped with the clarity, confidence, and purpose they require to succeed.
