To graduate with the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, students must complete a total of 30 secondary school credits.

Sunray Academy of Canada supports international students by completing the required Ontario credits while reviewing previous academic records to determine eligible equivalencies. This allows students to focus on the senior-level courses that are most relevant for university admission.

Each OSSD credit represents 110 hours of structured academic learning, ensuring depth, rigor, and alignment with Ontario curriculum standards. Community engagement is an important aspect of learning at Sunray Academy of Canada. The OSSD requires that students complete 40 hours of community involvement while developing empathy, responsibility, and real-world awareness.

Sunray Academy of Canada conducts a formal academic assessment of transcripts to determine which completed courses may be recognized under Ontario guidelines. This process prevents unnecessary repetition while ensuring full compliance with graduation requirements. The final academic plan is designed to meet both Ontario Ministry of Education standards and university admission expectations.
